🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE SHARE 🚨

We want to make our community aware of a scam circulating through phone calls, text messages, and emails. Scammers are pretending to be law enforcement officers and demanding money.

❗ Remember: Real law enforcement will NEVER ask for money over the phone, by text, or through email. They will also never request payment through MoneyGram, Bitcoin, gift cards, wire transfers, or any money transfer service.

If you receive a message like this, do not send money and do not share personal information.

Here are a few tips to help keep you and your family safe from scams:

🔹 Hang up immediately if someone pressures you to pay right away. 🔹 Do not click links in suspicious texts or emails. 🔹 Verify the caller by contacting the agency directly using an official phone number. 🔹 Never share personal details like your Social Security number, bank info, or passwords. 🔹 Talk to friends or family if something feels off — scammers rely on creating panic and isolation. 🔹 Report suspicious messages to local law enforcement or the appropriate fraud reporting service.
